LitterfreeSB is a group of like minded folk who volunteer to come together twice a month to litter pick in and around Sowerby Bridge town centre.
Calderdale is a beautiful place... and we want to keep it that way.
It's a simple philosophy of bringing people together, having fun, and taking pride in our lovely little town.
Our motto is:
Pick up Litter. Protect Nature. Educate Children. Inspire others.
We are a very welcoming group, so keep an eye on our events page and simply turn up to a litter pick when you like - we have all the equipment needed.
Once a year we hold a Big Litter Pick, where we have several groups of people litter picking a number of zones in Sowerby Bridge.
We are happy to loan equipment to community groups who want to have their own litter pick in Sowerby Bridge.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Volunteers
Our litter picks are an excellent opportunity for young people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh to complete their prescribed volunteering hours whilst also supporting their local town.
For Rainbows, Brownies, Girl Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, we can loan groups equipment or you can join our organised litter picks, helping to earn achievements and badges such as the Scouts Community Impact badge.
